thanks for the feedback - I have tested on linux but not extensively as I only have VM currently. Have you tried changing the Audio settings in 4TRK to see if it has any impact?
You should make an ARM64 Linux port so it can be run on single board computers like Raspberry Pis, and even Android Smartphones using Termux and a Linux chroot environment!
That's my condition for purchasing it, as I'd love to make a portable clamshell device for music production with an ARM64 single board computer!
Hey! thanks for the comment! that is and always have been on my agenda it's just that I need to finish implementing a few of the final core features first. It's so much easier to develop, test and fix things focusing on mac/pc first - and after having everything tested properly then begin to port for more lower power devices.
I also want to bring 4TRK to PI for the hope that people will try to build their own 'standalone' 4TRK devices :)
I think there are many in your situation, who would like to try it but specifically on a handheld - that's why I want to ensure the project have a solid foundation first!
Keep an eye out for updates, as for sure - as soon as I am ready I will let you know!

Hi beautiful software ! I however can’t seem to find how to switch between the two screen modes: studio 640 or classic 320 ?
Thanks! in bottom right corner is kind of COGWHEEL icon under FILE
IN SETTINGS look for STARTUP
You will finally see: UI MODE option 320 or 640
It’s another tool version maybe ? I can’t find the Startup button
yes It was the old version ! all good. Thanks
all good! glad you updated to the newest version :D
it's much better
On a different topic, do you test it on linux ? More than 4-5 voices start to crackle a lot. I think using this command lower them:
env PIPEWIRE_LATENCY=“1024/48000” ./4TRK
Edit: pinning to single core has the best results. → taskset -c 3 env PIPEWIRE_LATENCY=“1024/48000” ./4TRK
Have you tried anything else that works ?

try the update I just pushed. I hope it helps - i'm still investigating audio improvements all the time!

I try to update 4TRK at least once per week, due to costs for the builds - however I am constantly working on updates and features.
